Hot Air Balloon

In August 2015 Brian and I went on our honeymoon to California. Majority of our adventures took place in Napa Valley. Such a romantic destination for any special occasion. I haven’t been to the mainland before so of course I was scared, nervous and excited all at the same time.

Our honeymoon list:

  • Hot air balloon ride
  • Wine tasting tour
  • In-n-Out Burger
  • Sonic Drive-In
  • Grape Stomping
  • Wine Train

The first duo activity on my list “Balloon & Wine Tour Package”. It is a package deal that we booked through our hotel. Check out the link below.

They picked us up from our resort before sunrise, and drove to this open field next to vineyards. (I’m afraid of heights but I knew I would regret it if I didn’t go.) We watched the hot air balloon rise with heat, we got on and UP we went. We were the first balloon in the sky out of 10 others (or maybe more). It seemed a bit cloudy at first but as we passed through the misty clouds, OMG the view! The sunrise was so breath taking and from that moment on, my fears went away. The clouds thinned out below us and we could see the beautiful Napa Valley from above. The timing, the weather and the experience couldn’t get any more perfect. Even though I didn’t want to be back on land, our balloon ride was followed by a yummy breakfast, mimosas and a wine tasting tour.

NAPA VALLEY, CALIFORNIA

If you are ever in Napa Valley I would mos’def recommend them. They made our experience comfortable and fun.

Is this an adventure that you would want to do? Are you afraid of heights like me? Maybe you already did it? I would love to hear how your experience went, and where your choice of hot air ballooning took place at. Me ke aloha: SIMPLY SHANA
