Lately I’ve been teaching William some Hawaiian words. If we still lived in O’ahu I would’ve sent him to the same school that I went, but this way he enjoys learning his culture on our own pace. My friend from O’ahu sent us a calendar for Christmas that has the months and days all in Hawaiian. I hung it in his room so he can practice on his own too, he loves it. The words that I want to share with you on this blog post are Hawaiian words that I taught him this week.
Aloha Kakahiaka: Good Morning
Ianuali: January
Pepeluali: February
If you are interested in getting a calendar of your own I found a website printed in back of the calendar that was given to us: CALENDAR LINK
If you didn’t yet, check out Let’s Talk Hawaiian #1 and Let’s Talk Hawaiian #2 for more Hawaiian words.
Let me know if you have any request on Hawaiian words that you would want me to post on my blog. I’ll be happy to share it with you. Me ke aloha -SIMPLY SHANA
