Thanksgiving 2018

This year for Thanksgiving we decided to stay at home and prepare our very own Thanksgiving feast for the first time.
Last year we visited New York City for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade (see my previous blog post).

It was lots of fun for hubby and I to cook together some of the main Thanksgiving dishes that we enjoy. My sister and I was also prepping some dishes together the night before Thanksgiving on video chat even though she lives in Hawai’i. I stayed up late so she could give me pointers on cooking (there’s a 5 hour time difference between us).

Our dinner menu was Ham, Turkey Legs, Mashed Potatoes, Green Bean Casserole, Stuffing, Potato Salad, Corn, Pumpkin Pie, Gravy, and Sweetbread.

I know we didn’t have a full turkey but we were only cooking for a party of 3 oh and plus a bun in the oven lol. After our feast we realized we will be enjoying this feast for breakfast, lunch and dinner for a week…maybe more.

My family and I are very thankful for all of our family and friends. We are also thankful for every beautiful day that we have on God’s green earth. (Hubby told me that he’s thankful for “the sunrise each day and the heartbeat in your (my) tummy”, omg right?! Such a sweetie.)
